Expected Rise of Health Insurance

Small Business owners and operators along with the self-employed individuals will find their health care policies' annual rates increasing substantially over the next year. The self-employed medical insurance alone will rise tremendously and the medical care coverage will be reduced during the passage of time. This is all due to the passage of The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

All of the new health care reforms that will become increasingly evident with the coming year. Many individuals who are currently self-employed are also supporting a family and this will cost them and their family dearly. You will have a choice of purchasing a self-employed health insurance that is satisfactory to the Internal Revenue Service or expect to receive an additional notification of a tax burden of seven hundred fifty dollars for each member of your family.

These rules, laws, and regulations will not begin immediately, but they will begin to filter throughout the country by January 2014. The time to prepare is now, unless the government can see the errors of their ways and are willing to change those passages within the health care reform bill to better accommodate all individuals.

Self-employed individuals will have access to the medical care subsidies that will be in place by 2014 in every state, but where do you find an affordable health policy between now and then? Of course, in order to qualify for the government-regulated medical insurance you will have to meet the poverty level standards or you are back out on your own once again.

However, one of the more important issues to consider when in search of an affordable self-employed health insurance are what benefits you and your family members will continue to receive. One of the issues is the ability to continue the health coverage for your children until they reach the age of twenty-six. Another interesting feature is the elimination of the lifetime cap on health coverage that does exist in the current self-employed medical insurance policies.

Another point of interest is to stay away from the health savings accounts and others in this league because in The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act this is to be discontinued for the more favored government-run single payer health insurance system. This remains to be in effect unless the government decides to change, rearrange, or repeal the existing health care bill for one that is more favorable to all citizens. The next few years will tell the story, but for now we the people must be prepared.
